Drove significant crime reduction: Contributed to a 40% drop in gun violence in District 025 and achieved over 50% reduction in shootings and homicides over a 2+ year average in Chicago. Revitalized a city labeled "America's #1 Dying Town" (Forbes, 2008) through a data-driven approach, achieving over 70% crime reduction overall and over 90% in targeted areas within four years.


Built and optimized critical systems: Designed and managed over 150 dashboards focused on crime prevention, gun violence, and youth safety. Built dashboards that processed 150M+ monthly license plate records to track suspects and stolen vehicles. Designed dashboards with very large and complex datasets.


Led impactful initiatives: Spearheaded "Data for Good" initiatives, integrating mental health and community services into public safety strategies. Developed national youth violence tracking and intervention dashboards used to influence public policy. Led national engagement strategy with 100+ city partners (including Atlanta-area departments, Chicago PD, and DC Metro PD) on aligning community-facing strategies with ethical technology use. 


Lead architect of the SoundThinking Data for Good program designed to assist law enforcement agencies in taking a whole-of-government public health approach.


Enhanced operational efficiency & response: Introduced RTCC best practices that launched real-time investigations from command centers. Devised stolen vehicle workflows and improved gang conflict tracking systems. Successfully integrated Redshift and Postgres workflows for large-scale Tableau and Power BI analysis. Directed statewide strategy to reduce violence through coordination with city police departments and sheriffs. 


Built coordinated response pathways between law enforcement, public health, and social service agencies.


Fostered community and interagency collaboration: Supported over 180 cities in adopting Smart City principles, Intelligence-Led Policing, and Data-Driven strategies. Built investigation frameworks spanning 5+ countries with recognition from Guatemala's Congress. Helped coordinate multi-nation intelligence under the Five Eyes alliance. 


Supported implementation of officer referral programs, social service integration, victim services, and public complaint awareness campaigns.


Developed and led training programs: Trained law enforcement agencies in 100+ cities on advanced data usage for violence reduction. Trained officers in crisis response, de-escalation, and investigative protocol. Trained and advised police executives and staff on aligning community-facing strategies with ethical technology use.


Achieved program and policy milestones: Founded and led the ORD Airport Watch Program, which was later adopted nationally and internationally. Secured FEMA and CPTED certifications, applying them to urban safety initiatives. Developed a 3-tiered human trafficking framework and model for missing/exploited child recovery. 


Designed and implemented trauma-informed community violence strategies.


Implemented strategic organizational change: Conducted comprehensive capability and gap assessments across teams, developed five strategic plans within two months, and promoted to oversee expanded divisions and lead restructuring. Built a Center of Excellence for Analytics to institutionalize data-driven decision-making. Senior civilian advisor to the Commanding General on prevention, coordination, and policy strategies across Europe and Africa. Appointed Acting Police Data Initiatives and Analytics Officer, providing leadership across data operations for multiple divisions and business technology.


Our Educational Foundation


Our team brings a robust academic foundation to every engagement. We hold a Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from the University of Southern California, with a focus on Social Innovation & Change Management in Public Safety Organizations, complemented by a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Washington University in St. Louis in Social & Economic Development, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Webster University. This is further strengthened by a Master in Intelligence Studies with Honors from American Military University and a Juris Doctor (Law Degree) candidacy from Northwestern California University School of Law, offering expertise in corporate compliance, human resources, labor law, bankruptcy law, immigration, contract compliance, international law, policy development, policy compliance, and CALEA certifications. Our diverse educational backgrounds provide a unique blend of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and a deep understanding of social dynamics critical to public safety and organizational success.
